TorsionX president Mike McCown was recently part of a trade delegation to Cuba, led by West Virginia’s Governor Earl Ray Tomblin. They expected the trip to lead to some introductions with the possibility of doing business there in the future. Instead, all three of the West Virginia manufacturing companies on the trip left the island with direct business connections.
Mike said he was thrilled with the opportunity to visit Cuba and enjoyed meeting potential business partners.
“For my entire life, Cuba has been off-limits. I think lowering the trade barriers will give us an opportunity do business there, and at the same time show them what free trade and democracy is all about,” he said.
While there are a lot of things that will have to happen first, before any TorsionX tools are shipped to Cuba, the doors have been opened and things look promising.
